Depressed and Religious Rob Kardashian Battles Fat and Weight Gain, Plugs Designer Socks and Hair Loss Drug [UPDATE]

It's not been an easy few years for Rob Kardashian, who appears to be depressed and religious. The reality star is trying to cut out fat and additional weight gain, while plugging his designer sock line and a drug to reduce hair loss.

According to a new report by Us Weekly, Rob's weight gain has caused the Kardashian to become depressed. One source who spoke with the publication claims that Rob and his family have drifted apart, yet they are gravely concerned about him:

"Rob is really depressed. He's not as close with his family right now, and he won't answer a lot of texts and calls from friends. Rob has a trainer he's supposedly working out with. But Rob rarely shows up for their sessions. He's not losing any weight. The family is very concerned about him."

This isn't the first time that we've heard Rob battles with depression. The reality star pretty much said so himself last year, when he told E! cameras:

"I've just not been feeling myself, gaining a bunch of weight. It's frustrating, I'm not happy going out when I'm not in good shape. If I don't get myself together in six months then I won't want to hang around everybody."

Rob just doesn't seem to be getting depressed, he also seems to be growing religious. On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob offered some spiritual advice to big sister Khloe, when she was going through marital problems with Lamar Odom:

"All you can do is pray and keep trying if you want to try. If not...you have to let him figure it out. It's like you tried so many times, it's not like a week of this or a month of this."
