The cast of the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie can't keep their names out of the press. Whether it's news or rumors, the world is obsessed with the film. This week, it was revealed that Charlie Hunnam's name was used to aid in a scam, and Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are featured in a new promotional poster.
Charlie Hunnam may have dropped out of the film, but that doesn't mean that the world has stopped obsessing over him. In fact, folks are willing to spend a great deal of money just to hear him yap.
Unfortunately, they may not get their money's worth.
According to CBC, a Canadian news outlet, a number of people were scammed out of a lot of cash. After purchasing tickets, at $250 a pop, buyers were told that they would have a meet and greet with the star.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case:
"The $250 meet and greet with the star of the hit crime drama about an outlaw motorcycle club was supposed to take place last November, but was rescheduled for Feb. 22. Quebec-based company Full Throttle Events was responsible for bringing Hunnam to Newfoundland. A local motorcycle dealership--Mile 1 Harley Davidson in Mount Pearl--sold tickets to the event."
Meanwhile, Charlie's replacement, Jamie Dornan, and Dakota Johnson also find themselves in the news. A new poster was released on Valentine's Day, as International Business Times:
"'One Year. Valentine's Day 2015 #FIFTYSHADES,' the teasing poster read, getting fans even more excited that their favorite movie adaptation would be making its debut in a short 365 days. In the promo, we see what looks like a shocked Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) leaving her office only to be surprised by a patiently waiting Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)."
