’22 Jump Street’ Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Update: ‘Magic Mike 2,’ Wife’s In New Stripper Movie

Channing and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum both have new movies about male strippers coming out. But Jenna's new Balls to the Walls flick is already set for release, while 22 Jump Street's Channing Tatum is just in the beginning stages of writing his Magic Mike 2 screenplay.

Hollywood stud Channing Tatum has just finished up shooting his newest sequel 22 Jump Street. Which must have got him thinking, while in sequel mode, why not pen another Magic Mike movie.

Magic Mike made almost $40 million in its first week, and the Latin Post director Steven Soderbergh has had an idea in mind for some time:

"Stephen Soderbergh, who directed Magic Mike, did state that their idea for a second movie would involve something that is based on a real life experience that happened in Tatum's past. It was something they wanted to include in the first movie but were unable because of the depth."

But in Channing's recent tweet about writing the screenplay Stephen is nowhere in sight, apparently he doesn't get involved in the first draft.

In his Twitter post, Tatum dons his thinking cap while reflecting on the Adonis that in good buddy Mathew McConaughey:

"What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe."

Jenna Dewan is doing her best to bring home the bacon while her husband is working of his new film.

Dewan is staring as the love interest in a zany rom-com, about a man who turns to stripping to pay for his wedding (via Perez Hilton):

"Channing Tatum's baby mama Jenna Dewan-Tatum proves that he's not the only one with a body worthy enough to star in a stripper movie in her new raunchy flick, Balls to the Wall! "

It's kind of Striptease meets Duece Bigalow.
