‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Oscar News: Margot Robbie, Martin Scorsese, Leo and Rob Reiner

Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street has the biggest Oscar buzz this year by far, leading some to speculate that Leo has already won the award for Best Actor. Meanwhile, Jonah Hill's chances at a statue seem better than average, as he settles down with his new girlfriend. Margot Robbie is using her new wave of fame to land her the role of Jane in the new 3D Tarzan; and Rob Riener is lending his political support to Wendy Greuel.

During a recent report of Academy Awards luncheon, a screen shot of a plaque with 'Academy Award to Leonardo DiCaprio' was posted online, instantly fueling speculation that the star had finally taking home an Oscar.

But it turns out they make those things for everyone, and according to the Independent, voting for the award doesn't even begin until the end of this week:

"At the risk of quelling fans' excitement, voting for the Academy Awards only begins on Friday, and nameplates are made for every nominee in advance of the ceremony...Gold plates are added to winners' trophies at the post-Oscars Governors Ball and redundant plaques are recycled."

Margot Robbie was still fairly new to the scene before she took everyone's breathe away in Wolf, but now she able to steal parts from slightly more established starlets.

According to the Daily Mail Robbie will be staring in Tarzan instead off Emma Stone:

"Margot Robbie is set to swing into the arms of True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard in a new 3D Tarzan movie. The 37-year old actor will be uttering the words 'Me Tarzan, you Jane' to the Australian beauty, who has been confirmed as his love interest Jane Porter. Emma Stone was said to be vying for the part, but lost out to the 23-year old."

Activist/ actor Rob Reiner is cashing in on whatever Hollywood clout he may still have, and announced Monday that he is endorsing former Los Angeles Controller Wendy Greuel for an open congressional seat (via LA Times):

"I know a thing or two about advocates, and Wendy Greuel is the advocate we need in Congress today...Her work with [former L.A. Mayor] Tom Bradley on homelessness, the Clinton administration on housing and her advocacy on behalf of the creative industry at Dreamworks, it's a three-for."

Now if he could only influence the Academy's vote.
