Eva Mendes, who is known for keeping her private life out of the public eye, recently addressed all of those Ryan Gosling Breakup rumors. The sexy lady also made reference to claims that Gosling was dating Rachel McAdams, who co-starred alongside Gosling in The Notebook.
Despite months of rumors that Eva and Ryan are thinking of calling it quits, neither actor's camp has commented. That was until Eva appeared on Ellen Wednesday, where she stirred things up even more.
When asked by Ellen what she would be doing on Valentine's Day, the actress refrained from mentioning Ryan. Though she was clearly kidding, Mendes painted a much lonelier picture:
"I'm not a big Valentine's Day person. I'll probably just order a deep dish and watch The Notebook or something. Weep, just weep."
The fact that Eva mentioned The Notebook bears some significance. After all, Ryan starred alongside Rachel McAdams in the film and even dated her in real life.
Once breakup rumors first surfaced, OK! was quick to claim that Ryan was back with his ex-love. According to one source who spoke with the publication, it was Eva who was responsible for the split:
"Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn't a lot to say. He was everything you're supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing."
Then again, the insider also revealed that it may have something to do with Eva's alleged inability to commit:
"Maybe that's the commitment-phobe in her. Ryan wanted more, and then realized that just wasn't going to happen...The more he wanted to get more serious, the more she pulled back. So, to him, it just wasn't worth investing his heart into the relationship, and he stopped caring."
