‘American Idol’ Judges 2014 News: Jennifer Lopez and Boyfriend Casper Smart Split, Harry Connick Jr Gets Angry

The pressures of being a 2014 American Idol judge are starting to affect Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with boyfriend Casper Smart, as well as Harry Connick Jr's affability. Lopez and her choreographer-turned-lover are ready to split, according to rumors that continue to persist, despite shameful denials. And Harry Connick Jr. decided to start the show off Wednesday in a fashion that would have warmed the cockles of Simon Cowell’s cold heart. The jazz pianist told the contestants the judges didn’t want to hear their sob-stories.

Jennifer Lopez's relationship with Casper Smart is starting to crumble under the weight of JLo's never ending ambition.

A source close to the couple told OK! Casper was having a hard time dealing with Lopez constant need to acquire and achieve:

"[Lopez] has an insatiable appetite for her career. She always wants more, more, more! It's difficult for Casper just as it has been for everyone else."

According to one family friend the pair are constantly fighting over the littlest things, a sure sign that the relationship is no longer working (via OK! Magazine):

"It's well past the honeymoon stage now. One minute they're fine and then the next they're having a crazy fight. This pattern repeats itself over and over."

JLo isn't the only Idol judge letting the little things get to him.

Harry Connick Jr. promised weeks ago that he wasn't on Idol to be another Simon Cowell (via OK! Magazine):

"I'm not like Simon [Cowell]. You have to be spontaneous, but specific. You can't tell people, 'I didn't like it,' and not why."

But Harry sounded just like the surly Brit last night when he came down hard on the contestant's sob stories (via USA Today):

"Hearing people b---- about they don't feel good? That sucks the energy out of what you're about to do...If you tell us you're sick, we're going to think about you being sick...Don't tell us how to feel for you--ever."

In fact Connick sounded like more of a bully than Cowell, when he made similar remarks on Britain's Got Talent just a few weeks ago (via Mirror):

"I've heard the sob story before. Not many people can come on stage and sing like that. I am bored of these sob stories now. I hate to sound harsh but I am."

And Simon didn't drop any "B" bombs.
