Suicide Squad ‘Arrow’ Episode and ‘Batman Arkham: Origins’ Video Game Sequel Update

Spoiler Warning for Arrow and Batman Arkham: Origins Follow! DC’s Suicide Squad is getting a lot of attention these days. The group of semi-reformed criminals-turned-top-secret government agents, also known as Task Force X have been featured in multi-media platforms including TV and video games. The hit CW series Arrow has featured several members of the squad, including their leader, Amanda “The Wall" Waller. The show will even feature an episode titled,”Suicide Squad.” The group will also be the focus of their very own video game. A follow up to the hit game Batman Arkham: Origins, featured Deathstroke being inducted into the squad at the end of the games.

The Suicide Squad is a group of criminals who are sprung from prison in exchange for their services on very dangerous government missions. The group is quickly growing popular outside of comics. The hit CW TV series Arrow has featured several members of the Squads main roster including, The Bronze Tiger, Deadshot and one of the most recent additions,Sharpnel.

Firefly star Sean Maher recently guest starred as Shrapnel. During a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, he revealed that Sharpnel will be joining the Squad on the show:

“I truly didn't understand who Shrapnel or the Suicide Squad were. That was all news to me. I had very limited knowledge of Shrapnel, but Andrew was amazing and forthcoming with a ton of information and pictures and the comics and all that stuff. He was the one who enlightened me.”

Meanwhile, the game, Batman Arkham: Origins featured several members of the squad. The final cut scene for the game, showed Amanda Waller approaching Deathstroke for a position in the group.

During the game at random intervals, several thugs can be heard talking about Captain Boomerang. The Captain is a member of The Flash’s Rogues gallery and member of the Squad.

The “Suicide Squad” episode of Arrow airs on March 19.
