George Zimmerman DMX Boxing Match Canceled After Kid Death Threats, Rescheduled With ‘Bloodier’ Opponent, Is Kanye West Back In?

Well fight fans, the big match between George “Stand Your Ground” Zimmerman and DMX has been canceled. The match was reportedly canceled after the promoter, Damon Feldman, and his kids received death threats. But do not fret, people will still be able to see Zimmerman get punched in the face for sport. A new promoter has taken over the event and has promised a “bloodier” bout, with a brand new opponent. That means that might be a chance that we can still see Zimmerman step into the ring with Kanye West.

Last week it was announced that George Zimmerman was going to step in a celebrity boxing ring. Possible opponents lined up to see who would take on the acquitted killer.

It was reported the Zimmerman wanted to fight against Kanye West. Rapper The Game, who has a tattoo of Trayvon Martin on his leg, expressed an interest in fighting Zimmerman, telling TMZ:

"I would not be boxing for me. I'd be boxing for the legacy of Trayvon Martin and for his family. I would box him to knock him out.I would definitely take pleasure in it. It's legal, and I want to show him you can solve your disputes without a weapon."

Later in the week, it was revealed that rapper DMX was going to face off against Zimmerman. However, that was canceled shortly after, when promoter Damon Feldman's family started receiving death threats.

However, a new promoter has stepped in to take over the fight, promising a new opponent. The new promoter, Alki David, told TMZ that the new fight will not be a boxing match, claiming, "this is going to be like Fight Club...a very bloody event."
