Well, Batman Vs Superman might be having its fair share of problems, but the upcoming Fox series Gotham seems to have trouble getting off the ground. The Batman prequel series that was green lit for a full season order without a pilot, has found its leading man. Southland star Ben McKenzie has been cast as the young Commissioner Jim Gordon. Meanwhile, the last man to play Gordon, legendary actor Gary Oldman, has recently revealed that he is in talks to star in the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7.
It is official, Ben McKenzie will be playing Gotham’s finest. McKenzie has been cast to play a young James Gordon.
The show is believed to center around Gordon, before he became commissioner. However, a recent announcement about the show has lead many to believe that it might look a lot like the Superman series, Smallville.
Fox’s chairman Kevin Reilly recently spoke about the new show at Fox’s Television Critics Association panel, where he announced that it feature all of Batman’s villains:
"This is all of the classic Batman characters. It follows the arc of how they all became what they were. I've read the script its really good. It's going to be this operatic soap that has a slightly larger-than-life quality."
Meanwhile, Gary Oldman, the man who played Gordon in The Dark Knight Trilogy has recently confirmed that he has been in talks with Disney, to star in the new Star Wars Episode 7. Oldman, did not reveal any other information other than that.
High School Musical star, Zac Efron also revealed that he is up for a role in the new film, telling MTV:
“I just went and met with [producers]. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but … who knows?”
