Following Nancy Grace Marijuana Commentary, Freezer Tot Scandal Leads to Controversy, Petition

Nancy Grace is determined to create unnecessary controversy. That may be fine when it comes to her ridiculous commentary on marijuana, but the talking head's latest scandal has really crossed the line. Following her use of the hashtag "Freezer Tot" to describe the grisly murder of a child, numerous online petitions have called for an apology, with some demanding that she be fired.

With a mouth as big as Nancy Grace's, it's no surprise that she winds up putting her foot in it. That was certainly the case when she decided to tackle the non-issue of marijuana legalization.

Nancy had a lot to say, unfortunately, most of it didn't make sense. And if you didn't agree 100 percent with Grace's claims that all pot users are lazy losers, then she has a few words for you:

"Hey, look, the ones that are disagreeing are lethargic, sitting on the sofa, eating chips. Pot makes you fat and lazy. There. Fat and lazy."

But that is nothing in comparison to the outrage and controversy Grace elicited, when discussing the murder of 3-year-old Kayleigh Slusher of Napa, Ca.

The child, who is believed to have been murdered by her parents, was killed just days after a welfare visit to her home. Authorities have revealed that her body, though found in her own bed, had been put in a freezer.

It is that shocking revelation that lead Nancy Grace to idiotically use the hashtag #FreezerTot, when promoting HLN's coverage of the tragedy.

Needless to say, this has many up in arms. As a result of her crude and insensitive comments, a number of petitions have been formed calling for an apology from HLN, like this popular iPetition:

"We are asking you to sign and share this petition. It is our hope to have Nancy Grace, or those in charge of this Facebook page, remove this highly offensive and disgusting hashtag and make a public apology to the family and friends of Kayleigh Slusher."
