Hollywood whispers have it that Chloë Moretz thinks Quvenzhane Wallis' unprecedented contract to appear in the new movie version of Annie is obscene, especially when compared to what she is making for her movies. Lest you think that the Let Me In star is just a hater, you might want to know that Quvenzhane, who has only been a few movies, has even been promised top billing over at least one of her co-stars, the very well established Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. Moretz isn’t exactly feuding with the 10-year-old, but rumor has it she has been vocal in her opinion that Wallis' success is ridiculously undeserved.
Though Kick Ass franchise anchor Chloë Moretz reportedly made 500K for her last flick, she isn't happy that child star Quvenzhane Wallis is able to draw so much more, for just being cute.
The 17-year-old actress was eating dinner at trendy restaurant West Hollywood, when she supposedly slammed Wallis upon hearing about her new Annie money and perks.
An eyewitness to the alleged event told Star that Moretz was the one acting like a child:
"In a snotty voice, she said that she couldn't believe that a 10-year-old would make more money than her. She sounded like a bratty teenager with an out-of-control ego. There are many actresses who would love to make what Chloë does."
But since that sounds like the observation of a failed actress/waitress, it hardly seems believable.
Unless you consider the fact that Quvenzhane Wallis is making so much money for her new Annie role that it is practically offensive.
Not only is she going to will her salary of $750,000 to a cool $1.5 million if the remake clears $145 million domestically, but she stands to net five percent of overall take, along with ten percent of the money earned from soundtrack, and five percent of the profits on all other merchandise reports TMZ.
And to top it all off, TMZ reports, not only does she get a "private, first class trailer" plus final approval of the blooper reel; the tiny star gets to keep her favorite swag from the film:
"They have to give her 3 dresses from which to choose and she gets to keep the one she wears. But one caveat--she can't sell or lend the garment to anyone."
Maybe Chloë will get to keep her next Kick Ass mask.
