Lorne Balfe, prized video game composer will do the score for the Ubisoft highly anticipated video game "Assassin's Creed III."
The video game is set for a release date in North America on Oct.30 2012 for Sony's Playstation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360.
The Microsoft Windows version is to be released Nov. 20 while Nintendo's "Wii U," adaptation will launch with the new system Nov.18
Balfe who works out of Remote Control Studios has worked with the team at Ubisoft before on previous Assassin Creed titles before. His other works include, "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2," "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," the movie and "Pirates of the Caribbean: at World's End," both in contributing roles.
The Assassin's Creed series is a stealth based game where players can eliminate targets using a central figure.
"Assassin Creed III," differs from titles in the pass in that it is set in colonial America and not primarily in the Renaissance period of Europe. Balfe worked on previous titles such as the original "Assassin's Creed Brotherhood," a game that was set in the Renaissance and he was able to incorporated elements of that time with the game play to give a classical feel.
Along with another video game composer Jasper the Kyd who combined with Balfe on the previous installments of the will try to give this instalment of the the "Assassin's Creed," series an old colonial vibe to replace the the ambiance of past titles.
Balfe will add sound very familiar sounds to classical music listeners. In this his latest project, moving away from the sounds associated with the time of Leonardo Di Vinci and towards a more the American colonial sound.
