George Clooney Pranked by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Following Wedding Rumors

Accomplished actor and director George Clooney has been known since his Fact of Life days for his practical jokes. But Clooney isn't the only one who likes to have a little fun at someone else's expense. Brad Pitt recently was able to turn an entire town against Clooney, in a recent prank, by circulating outrageous rumors in the town. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are no strangers to rumors either, the couple has been dealing with whispers that they have had a secret wedding, for as long as they have been planning the actual event.

Brad Pitt recently pulled a move on friend George Clooney, right out of Clooney's own play book.

The veteran actor played the ultimate practical joke on Hollywood's ultimate practical jokester.

The actors were filming at Lake Como, Italy, where Clooney owns a villa, when Pitt circulated some slander via the post that Clooney was an egomaniac (via In Touch):

"Brad sent around a flier stating that George only wanted to be called by his on-screen name--and that no one dare look him in the eye."

Clooney told In Touch that the joke worked a little too well, and he was having trouble explaining it for what it was to his Italian neighbors:

"It got into the local paper...[But the] jokes don't translate at all...they called me Il Divo!"

Brad Pitt and Angelina Joie are still dealing with rumors that they had a secret wedding.

Truth be told though, the couple still don't really have any of the plans worked out, which creates the constant speculation that they are keeping everything really hush hush.

According to Marie Claire, the pair have just about decided on a ceremony on the open ocean instead of the French estate:

"It was Maddox who came up with the idea of the ship. He came across it after looking back at photos of the Carnell Estate in Ayrshire, where they stayed and all loved. So now they've made enquiries into booking the whole vessel. It's just what they're after. It can hold up to 50 of their friends and family and serve as a traditional, romantic setting--all totally private. Or they could always sail to a secluded bay off the Orkney or Shetland islands and have the ceremony there. The kids are all hooked on old British voyages, so they would love it. The fact that Maddox found it makes it more special."

Letting the kids make the wedding plans, sounds like an even funnier practical joke.
