It's a bargain that's landed right at your feet: The Paul Taylor Dance Company will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a special Lincoln Center performance that will cost--hold onto your tights--a nominal $6.
The six-buck gig, made possible through the kind philanthropy of an anonymous donor, will take place on March 11 at 7 p.m. Providing the stage is Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater.
The company's program includes Cloven Kingdom from 1976, Dust from '77 and the brilliant Black Tuesday from 2001.
Tickets hit the outlets yesterday at 10 a.m.
Some food for thought...other Paul Taylor Co. performances this season range anywhere from $10 to $160.
"As Paul Taylor looks to the future with inspired artistry and vision, we also look back at the first 60 years and celebrate with this special evening," executive director John Tomlinson told the New York Times.
If you're still wondering whether or not this one's worth the money, allow me to post this vid of PTDC performing "Prometheus Fire."
Worth every penny--and then some--indeed. Don't miss out, dear Classicalites.
