Today is the big release of The Lego Movie. The children's toy company is building a blockbuster with the help of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And who is going to lead this team of hero legends? That is right, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt.
Chris Pratt is building a name for himself, and like any good name, he is building it with Lego bricks. Pratt, best known as the funny guy Andy on NBC’s Parks and Rec, has transformed himself into a major league movie star. Pratt rebuilt his body for the upcoming Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy. He also just landed the lead in the upcoming Jurassic Park film. However, he does return to funny as the lead in the Lego Movie.
Pratt's new roles are not what he got use to on the set of Parks of Rec, as he told USA Today about working on Guardians of the Galaxy:
"I walked onto the set. It was like an amusement-park ride. But it was built just for my character. Millions of dollars spent. That was a moment. Every once in a while, you wipe the fog off and look through the glass and just be astounded. But it quickly fogs back up, and you focus."
However, Pratt is not letting Hollywood get to his head, because his brother won't let him. Prat went on to add.
“When I start speaking to my brother (Cully) in a certain way, it's like, 'Whoa, back it up, Hollywood. We grew up together. You're the kid I used to fart on.”
The Lego Movie, starring Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell and Morgan Freeman is currently playing theaters everywhere. Check out the movie, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
