After Drug Rehab, Zac Efron Talks ‘Star Wars 7’ Casting with 2014 ‘RoboCop’s’ Gary Oldman?

Well, it looks like Zac Efron might be returning home to Disney. The High School Musical star has confirmed that he has spoken with producers about starring in the upcoming movie, Star Wars: Episode 7. This would undoubtedly be big news for the actor who is reportedly recovering from drug addiction and rehab rumors sparked last year. Meanwhile, The Dark Knight and RoboCop 2014 star Gary Oldman is also in talks to star in the new movie.

Last year, Zac Efron shocked the galaxy when it was reported that he was in rehab for cocaine addiction. However, the actor might have his chance to make it up to the galaxy in the next Star Wars movie.

Zac Efron recently confirmed that he is in talks with producers to star in the next film in the Sci-Fi franchise. Efron spoke with MTV about possibly starring in Star Wars: Episode 7:

“I just went and met with [producers]. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but … who knows?”

Meanwhile, the legendary actor Gary Oldman is reportedly in talks for the film as well. Oldman is known for many films, including Dracula, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Harry Potter franchise and the new remake of RoboCop.

Oldman has reportedly spoken with producers as well, however, he is not confirming or denying anything. Perhaps producers can take a hint from the RoboCop team. Oldman recently told reporters about how the remake roped him in:

"Money!.. I'm at the mercy of what the industry is making and what comes through my door. But I thought this was an intelligent script and I love Jose's [director] point of view."

What do you think about the rumors? Who would you like to see cast in the new movie? Let us know in the comments section below.
