Austin Mahone took time to deny rumors that he is dating Selena Gomez. His latest statements come after Gomez's high-profile breakup with Justin Bieber.
When asked by MTV News about the rumors, Austin refuted the claims. According to the young singer, he and Selena are just friends:
"It's not true. I'm not dating Selena Gomez. It's strange. I don't know where they come up with it, but it's cool. She's one of my friends. We are always talking about music. She showed me some of her songs that she's got coming up, so we're cool."
Selena's also been linked to ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber in recent weeks. The two were spotted camping together, as E! News describes:
"Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez roughed it in the wild over the weekend ... and by roughing it we mean their accommodations weren't quite as nice as the Four Seasons. The couple that decided love can really work the 11th time around went 'camping' near the beach in Santa Cruz, CA...in an uber-luxury RV at the upscale KOA Kampgrounds."
Of course, the two certainly don't appear to be chummy now. After Bieber's latest arrest, he was spotted snuggling up with another beauty, as Just Jared reports:
"That same day, video of the 19-year-old entertainer strolling the beach with model Chantel Jeffries surfaced online. For those of you who may not know, Chantel was the passenger in Justin's yellow Lamborghini when he was pulled over and subsequently arrested for drag racing on Thursday, January 23rd in Miami Beach, Fla."
