Netflix original series that fictionalizes the sausage making of politics, House of Cards, Season 2 release date is set for later this month, with Kevin Spacey returning to his role as South Carolina Congressman Franck Underwood. Co-star Robin Wright who plays Spacey's spouse on the show, plans to soon be playing the real life role of spouse to Ben Foster. The couple announced their engagement last month.
Netflix is doing their best to make sure people know that all 16 episodes of their original series, House of Cards, Season 2 will be available for streaming February 14, also known as Valentine's Day to you Hallmark types.
And Season 2 is all set to be as crazy and thrilling as the first according to Netflix official statement (via Huffington Post):
"In the second season, Francis (Spacey) and Claire (Wright) Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara, American Horror Story), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis's former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker's (Michel Gill, The Good Wife) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, Southland) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis's once private existence. The Underwood's must overcome these dangers--past and present--to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake."
Robin Wright's real life is also set to be pretty exciting this year.
She and boyfriend-recently-turned fiancé Ben Foster have a wedding to plan in addition to the various acting jobs.
Wright isn't worried about where she is going to find the energy, however. She told OK! that Ben Foster is her fountain of youth:
"I was a late bloomer. I know I'm 48, almost, but I feel like I'm 30. I feel like I digressed and I'm going to live my 30's again."
Think Charlize Theron is feeling any younger with Hollywood hothead Sean Penn?
Probably not.
