It has already been a year of highs and lows for pop icon Britney Spears. The singer's Las Vegas show "Piece of Me" has been criticized from top to bottom, but has become the highest grossing show in Sin City. Now it seems, after being surrounded by rumors that Spears was on the brink of a mental breakdown, Britney is reportedly riding high on a wave of adulation, having secretly married boyfriend David Lucado without even having to deal with the invasive ordeal of announcing an engagement.
Things seem to be moving quickly in Britney Spears relationship with David Lucado.
Rumors abound the couple are either engaged or secretly married already.
Lucado was a planning a holiday proposal, according to OK! Magazine, who claimed the hopeful suitor had already okayed it with Britney's conservator:
"Here comes the bride! Insiders say that Britney Spears' boyfriend David Lucado, is planning a proposal around Valentine's Day-and has already asked permission of Brit's dad who gave 'two thumbs up.'"
But it seems that Lucado couldn't wait, maybe because Spears also read the article.
Britney showed up Jan 25, at an event for her kids, 8-year-old Sean and 7-year-old Jayden, with what looked like a ring on her ringer according to IBN Live:
"The 32-year-old was seen showing off an elegant gold band on her left ring finger at the soccer game of her sons...The singer proudly showed off her new piece of jewelry as she held up her hand for fans and photographers."
While there is no official word from the Spears camp, one can surmise that either way Lucado is hoping to gesture will keep him out the dog house and out of the dog collar.
Spears has sometimes taken to bringing her man out on stage in Vegas says Star, so she can parade him around for the crowd:
"What a loyal dog...Britney called her boyfriend, David Lucado, on the stage. She quickly put him in a collar and chains and walked him around like a very, very bad boy."
Regardless of what is or isn't happening in Spears and Lucado's relationship, he really should do whatever it takes to make that stop.
