If you live in one of the few homes where Philip Seymour Hoffman wasn’t a household name, then you have sadly missed out. Philip Seymour Hoffman is only one of the most highly acclaimed actors of our day.
He is best known to younger viewers as Plutarch Heavensbee in the Hunger Games film series. However, there was so much more to PSH.
Active for over two decades, Philip Seymour Hoffman, rose to prominence with his performance in Boogie Nights. Since then a generation has grew up watching the actor in The Big Lebowski, Magnolia, Almost Famous, and Punch-Drunk Love.
By this time, Philip Seymour Hoffman had become known as one of the best actors around.
Hoffman later went on to star in Capote, Charlie Wilson's War and Moneyball.
PSH also recently starred as Willy Loman on Broadway’s Death of a Salesman.
Tragically, Hoffman left us this past week. He was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday, Feb 2, 2014. He was 46-years-old.
It has been reported that Hoffman was found with a needle in his arm, and that police allegedly found heroin in his apartment.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was truly one of the greatest American actors of all time. If you did not know who he is was, than you truly should look into his filmography. He will be missed.
