'Homeland' Claire Danes Critical of Husband Hugh Dancy Hannibal; Has Crazy Room On Set?

Homeland's Claire Danes has perfected the art of looking crazy on television. The star even reportedly has her very own room to throw tantrums on set, one can only assume so she can get into character. That is why husband Hugh Dancy is looking forward to her criticism to steer his portrayal of crazy cannibal Dr. Lecter in his new show Hannibal.

When it comes to playing crazy, hands down, nobody does it quite like Claire Danes. Her character Carrie Mathison's crazy eyes alone are enough to convince an audience that she is fit for a straitjacket.

Danes is so skilled at keeping her emotions close to the surface where they can easily erupt, that they sometimes are more volatile than some people would like.

An on-set insider told Star that sometimes, her on-set behavior drives everyone crazy:

"She's very emotional and can be incredibly difficult. If she's stressed she goes into her 'howling room' and screams. This are strained; she's been terse with Damian Lewis when he tried to joke around. She's considered a huge pain."

It's that kind of dedication to her craft that make her the perfect mentor for husband Hugh Dancy as he play a serial killer on NBC's Hannibal.

Dancy told Us Weekly that she was the perfect gauge for the over-the- top acting that certain roles inevitably require.

"I come home and say, 'You've gone through this. I'm not completely overdoing it, right? There's a real insecurity with a role on the edge. She understands that."

Thank god she isn't known for her poise and grace, or Dancy would have been out of luck.
