The animated hit Frozen, starring Idina Menzel, has yet another accolade under its belt. The Disney hit is not only both a box-office smash and record selling juggernaut, the film is also garnering praise amongst its peers. The movie recently took home the 41st Annie Awards top prize for Best Animated Movie, as well as being nominated for the Oscars' Best Song from a Movie. Menzel's marriage to husband Taye Diggs isn't fairing quite so well. The couple is getting divorced after ten years of marriage.
Disney's hit film Frozen was able to beat out the stiff competition from top contenders like Despicable Me 2 and Monster University to claim the 41st Annual Annie Awards most prestigious award for 2014's Best Animated Feature.
But Broadway sensation Idina Menzel isn't wasting any time resting on her laurels.
The 42-year-old bombshell is starring in a new all original musical in If/Then on stage in Washington, D.C.
Menzel is teaming up with old friends to put on the show. She described the team she was working with as closer than your average co-worker (via Inquirer):
"It's written by Pulitzer Prize-winning composers, Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, and it's being directed by my old friend, Michael Greif, who gave me my first professional job in Rent. It's being produced by David Stone, who gave me my Wicked job. So, I'm surrounded by family."
It is good for Idina to surround herself with people she loves, while she is going through her messy divorce to Taye Diggs.
To add insult to injury, after allegations of infidelity plagued Diggs leading up to their official statement of separation, he is now flaunting his cheating according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry:
"The smokin' hot actor was recently photographed leaving a club with not one, but three white women."
Well...you can't win them all.
