Rumors continue to fly that two of country music's biggest celebrity couples are headed towards divorce. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are rumored to have marital woes. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert also find themselves the subject of numerous tabloids. Despite their impressive number of Grammy and Academy of Country Music Awards nominations, it seems to be the only thing people are talking about.
Things are not going great for Tim and Faith. For months, Star has been claiming that the couple is going to call it quits, even quoting a source who says that Faith has met with a divorce attorney:
"Faith has quietly gone so far as to talk to an attorney about her options in the worst-case scenario of calling it a day and filing for divorce."
That's not the only bad news they've recently gotten. Despite being nominated for a Grammy, Tim went home empty handed at the 2014 awards ceremony:
Tim was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, "Highway Don't Care." Unfortunately, they didn't take home the big win:
The Civil Wars--"From This Valley"--WINNER
Kelly Clarkson featuring Vince Gill--"Don't Rush"
Little Big Town--"Your Side of the Bed"
Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban--"Highway Don't Care"
Kenny Rogers With Dolly Parton--"You Can't Make Old Friends"
Things could turn around for Tim, however, as he has been nominated for two awards from the Academy of Country Music, as New York Daily News reports:
"McGraw picked up two nominations apiece as artist and producer for album, single record and vocal event of the year. His album Two Lanes of Freedom joins Kacey Musgraves' Grammy Award-winning Same Trailer Different Park."
Tim's not the only one who can turn things around. Miranda Lambert been nominated for a number of accolades as well:
"Lambert will be going for a fifth straight win in the female vocalist of the year category and her "Mama's Broken Heart" earned nominations for single record, song and video of the year. She also received two nominations in the vocal event category for collaborations with Keith Urban and as part of the Pistol Annies with Shelton."
