The 40-year-old runway model and reality show star Heidi Klum is reportedly calling it quits with boyfriend of over a year Martin Kristen. The couple initially got together shortly after her divorce from ex-husband and former pop star Seal. The Project Runway host needed someone to help her through a rough patch in her life, but now things are no longer gelling, so they split.
It has been no secret among friends that Heidi Klum needed someone to help get her through her painful divorce to Seal.
So when Martin Kirsten came into her life, she considered herself lucky for the emotional support.
But, things have changed for Kirsten and Klum, who is in a much more stable place, now that things have settled down.
Klum is grateful for having Kirsten in her life during such a difficult period, but is ready to move on a friend tells E!:
"They are no longer working together," the source said. "Life is about timing. He was incredibly supportive and they were there for each other, but they're moving on now. They still have a great friendship."
Thankfully, they are keeping it from turning ugly, so Klum won't have any distractions on the upcoming season of America's Got Talent.
Which is a good thing according to NBC president of alternative programming, Paul Telegdy. In an official statement he noted that Klum brings a certain je ne sais quo that the others just don't have:
"As we look to develop an act that will get the world's attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi's international sensibility and understanding of what works in today's global entertainment industry."
Thank god somethings never change.
