The dynamic Duo Cortado gives new definition to the term "virtuoso." Their flamenco-inspired compositions and arrangements have garnered much praise and critical reception down South.
Classical guitarists with a unique technique from Columbia, S.C., they have claimed the tender ears of their University of South Carolina fan base.
Go 'Cocks, indeed.
Formed in 2012, USC School of Music graduates Devin Shermin and Andy Jurik decided to explore their common interests, pursuing repertoire that compliments their style while inculcating their own talents.
And now, the classical pair is set to give their premiere performance at Tom Law's Conundrum Music Hall on USC's western turf at 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 9.
Conundrum Hall is located at 626 Meeting Street in West Columbia. Doors are at 7:30 p.m.
Even better, you ask?
A special composition written by one of Classicalite's favorite young composers, Mr. George Fetner, will be featured on the program.
Tickets are free, so you'd better make it.
Until then, imagine if this was what I was talking about? Seriously.
