"22" Giver Taylor Swift Top Tennessean Friends More Important Than Grammy Nomination

Taylor Swift charitable giver/country musician has been pretty busy lately. When the "22" singer isn't giving time and money to needy Nashville organizations, she is working on her music and touring. But that doesn't stop the star who was recently named top Tennessean to forget what's most important in her life, her friends.

24-year-old Taylor Swift is wise beyond her years. Not only does she give to those that need it, when she isn't working, but she also makes sure not to forget about her friends.

The country music vixen recently told E! that, even though she doesn't always have the time she'd like to devote to them, her friends are an important part of her life:

"I call my friends a lot. I've gotten better at that over the years. Sometimes I have to go months without seeing my best friends and I have to remember to stay in touch. But most of my friends completely understand how busy life can get, and they'd never make me feel guilty if we haven't talked in a while. We just catch up on everything the next time we see each other."

It's that kind of kind hearted attitude that has everyone impressed with the star.

Even the mayor of Nashville Karl Dean took the time to praise Swift for not only her charitable work but also the charm she brings to the entire town (via Billboard):

"She's one of the most dynamic and popular musical performers in the world, and she's perceived as having universal appeal across categories. She transcends genres, and that's a great thing for the city."

Now, if she can only figure out to wait until you hear your entire name before you rise for an award.
