If you loved the music from Frozen so much you could barely restrain from singing it out loud as you watched in theaters, then you are in luck, because a sing-along version of the film will be hitting cinemas in the UK February 7. There is still no word just yet as to whether or not the new version will hit American shores. Star of the hit film and soundtrack Idina Menzel, best known for her role as Elphba in the Broadway mega-hit Wicked, is having less success on the personal front as she and husband Taye Digs are getting a divorce after 10 Years of marriage.
The animated hit Frozen has become such a hit that it seems foolish not to keep the things in theaters as long as possible.
Perhaps that is why it is being re-released in the UK as a sing-along, accompanied by lyrics and a bouncing ball.
Tony Chambers, head of studio sales and distribution for Disney EMEA and UK/Ireland said the it only made sense to put the movie back out in its new format (via Independent.ie):
"With an Academy Award nomination for Best Song, a chart-topping soundtrack and the multi-language 'Let It Go' a YouTube worldwide phenomenon, it makes perfect sense to create and release a sing-a-long version for everyone to enjoy."
Idina Menzel's career is soaring, which is good, because she needs anything to get her mind off of husband Taye Diggs.
The two formally announced their separation a few weeks ago, and he has been working hard to embarrass her ever since then.
Diggs was recently spotted by Celebrity Dirty Laundry leaving the night club with several ladies in toe:
"The smokin' hot actor was recently photographed leaving a club with not one, but three white women."
Well...you can't win them all.
