NBC’s Parks and Rec is saying goodbye to Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones. The last episode for the pair airs tonight. Check out the special farewell preview before the episode airs.
NBC’s hit workplace comedy Parks and Rec is downsizing. Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones' characters Chris and Ann are running away from Pawnee to start a family.
The official plot synopsis for the episode, titled “Ann and Chris,” gives away all the details about tonight's send off:
“Ann and Chris spend their last night in Pawnee saying goodbye to their friends at a party thrown by Leslie, who's determined to fulfill a promise before they go. Meanwhile, Tom, Ben, Ron and Andy get to work finding the perfect going-away present.”
Rashida Jones is moving on to another project. The actress will be reuniting with her former Office co-star Steve Carell in his new series,Tribeca, on TBS. Jones is also rumored to be cast in the upcoming Marvel movie, Ant-Man, with Paul Rudd.
However, the show must go on and go on it will. Parks and Rec was recently picked by up for another season.
NBC’s Robert Greenblatt officially made the announcement at the recent 2014 Winter TV Critics Association Press Tour:
"Parks and Rec is going to have a seventh season."
Parks and Rec star Amy Poehler has also signed a three year development deal with NBC. Poehler’s best pal and Saturday Night Live co-star Tina Fey, has also signed a development deal with the network.
