Lil Wayne breaks billboard record charts dethroning Elvis Presley with most appearances. The King of Rock and Roll Presley tabled 108 appearances from 1958 to 2003. Lil Wayne has made a staggering 109 appearances on the fabled Hot 100 chart to climb the summit. The Louisiana native achieved this feat by popping up on the charts with the aptly titled Game song, "Celebration," a song that also features Wiz Khalifa,Tyga and Chris Brown. An impressive feat seeing that the rapper has only been active since 1992.
Lil Wayne associated with acts such as the Big Tymers, Young Money featuring the likes of Nicki Minaj, Drake and Tyga achieved this feat mainly to his many cameos on artist's tracks. Although displaced in the appearance category Elvis Presley is still sits atop of the pyramid in terms of appearances on the chart as a solo artist. Presley stands alone on top with a commanding 108, artist that trail him are the likes of soul machine James Brown 91, legend Aretha Franklin 73 and the multi-talented Ray Charles on 72 appearances.
The New Orleans resident still has some way to go if he is looking to catch Presley and that may not even be possible because before the establishment of the Hot 100 chart, Presley released stables of songs and tunes like "Heartbreak Hotel," were on the top standard charts before Hot 100 appeared. With the rapper turning 30 today this will come as a good omen for the future. With ten studio albums to his name the first in 1999 "Tha Block Is Hot," along with countless number of mix tapes to his name the rapper will look to push on from this feat.
