Lang Lang and Friends are set to play Carnegie Hall in a benefit concert for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation on October 30. The well-known Chinese pianist will be returning to Carnegie Hall and has brought with him numerous acts to aid him in a concert to help raise funds for his music foundation. Lang Lang brought together some of the finest talent that can be found around to join him in serenade the crowd at this historic New York venue.
Grammy Award winning violinist Joshua Bell will return to the place where he made his professional debut. Dee Dee Bridgewater a multiple award winner will look to add her soulful singing to the mix. Danish songstress Oh Land will be delivering a very unique sound to proceedings and the Young Scholars of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation will accompany the rest of the acts as they look to put practice into perfection with what looks to be a special evening. Canadian Jazz musician Matt Dusk, a June Awards Nominee will also being making an appearance at the event. Actor Alec Baldwin will guide the Manhattan crowd throughout the night by tying it all together as host.
Always the advocate for promoting classical music to the youth this event will be a special one because it will be a one night thing.
