There are no new episodes of Fox’s hit comedies, Brooklyn Nine Nine and The New Girl tonight, but the shows will be back for with very special new episode this Sunday after the Super Bowl. New Girl will even have a very special guest. Music legend Prince is joining the show for what is bound to be a memorable guest spot.
This Sunday after the superbowl, go ahead and keep the cheap bowl out and the TV on, because Fox has two brand news episodes of some of its hit comedies.

Where the show has not been officially picked up for a second season, it’s future is looking good, as Fox chairman Kevin Reilly noted when he announced to the press that the show was getting a full season order:
"It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do.With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher, alongside Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti and Stephanie Beatriz.
The series normal air date is Tuesday night on Fox.
Samberg’s former Saturday Night Live partner in crime, Fred Armisen, will return to the cop comedy for the special episode.
Meanwhile, music icon Prince will join the cast of The New Girl for their post Super Bowl episode.
