Host of ABC's Bachelor, Chris Harrison, might be more than just moonlighting on The View. Rumor has it that the 42-year-old might be bringing his right of center political positions to the daytime talk show. The View is thinking of adding a man to the 17-year-old all lady panel, and Harrison's animated defense of N.J Gov. Chris Christi during a recent appearance on the show, seems to have moved his name to the top of the list.
Chris Harrison had no problems getting his opinions out there, during his recent appearance on The View.
Harrison and Whoopi Goldberg exchanged verbal blows when the longtime panel member made statements about the severity of the consequences caused by the now infamous New Jersey traffic jam.
When Harrison heard the panel practically accuse Christie of murder, he could hold back no longer (via News Busters):
"Wait, wait, wait! We don't know! No, no, no, wait. Let's back up. First of all, the liberals are just foaming at the mouth. They couldn't - This is like porn for them. They're so excited to finally get at this guy, which we don't know anything about!...But literally, some of the networks are accusing him of murder already. It's like 'Easy, big fella!' Easy!"
That is exactly the kind of vitriol that the ladies of The View are looking to breathe a little life into their show.
An insider on the talk show told In Touch that with new shows looking to steal their audience, the ladies are looking to Chris to potentially steal it back:
"With [Fox's] The Real coming out this fall and CBS's The Talk it's going to be tough on the ratings. They need to do something to spice up the show...Chris was recently on as a guest co-host and everyone loved him."
They'd probably be better off with Juan Pablo.
