Star of ABC's Scandal, Kerry Washington, might be starting to confuse fantasy with reality, as the star is beginning to adopt some of the high minded ambitions of her D.C. character, according to some Hollywood rumors. Washington is reportedly going to ask President Barack Obama to be the godfather of her baby bump.
It has been rumored that actress Kerry Washington has a short list of couples she'd like to be godparents to her baby-to-be, and America's head of state and wife Michele Obama are at the top of it.
Washington is convinced, a friend recently told Star, that if she plays her cards right she will be able to have the Obama's at the christening:
"Kerry's been courting the President and First Lady for some time now, because she wants to play Michelle in a movie...She's desperate to have someone as prestigious as the Obamas as her baby's godparents and plans on casually asking Michelle at the next fund-raiser they attend together. Kerry's ambition knows no bounds."
It sure would be a bold move for the star, who just recently announced she was pregnant once her baby bump become too prevalent to ignore.
But Kerry knows the key to ambition is discretion and she is keeping tight lipped about all the baby details for the time being.
Washington told E! that she was happy to share the bun-in-the-oven news with the world, but it would always have to be on her terms:
"You know, it's sort of like the rest of my private life, I'm not talking about it that much, but I feel really really blessed it just feels like a really good time."
Be careful Kerry, Caesar was ambitious.
