‘300’ Gerard Butler ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ to Play Patrick Swayze In ‘Point Break’ Remake

British beau Gerard Butler, best known for his being a Spartan in 300, is in the final talks to join the Point Break remake directed by The Fast and the Furious cinematographer Ericson Core. The Olympus Has Fallen star is set to play Patrick Swayze's character Bodhi, the free-soul surfer/bank robber.

There is still no word who is set to play Keanu Reeves' character, FBI agent Johnny Utah, in the remake of Kathryn Bigelow's 90's cult classic.

The baddie though is good to go. 44-year-old Scottish action star Gerard Butler is all set to play antagonist Bodhi ,just as soon as the final details of the deal are worked out.

Entertainment Weekly announced that the deal between the actor and studio is practically done:

"Gerard Butler is in final talks to join the Point Break remake. He'd play Bodhi the surfer...Ericson Core is directing the pic off a script from Salt scribe Kurt Wimmer."

While his agents are squaring away the number, Butler is in Africa making sure hungry children are getting three square meals a day.

Butler has been working with world hunger organization Mary's Meals to bring much needed sustenance to the food insecurity of Liberia

Butler, who has been working with the group since 2010, does more than just act as a mouthpiece for Mary's Meals, which feeds 800,000 starving children daily.

When Butler shows up, he gets his hands dirty, says OK! Magazine:

"Gerard, 44, pitched in with cooking, loaded bags of rice into cans, planted pepper seeds and pineapples, and danced with the villagers."

He may be able to feed and clothe the needy, but can he tear a man's throat out with his bare hands?

It's highly doubtful.
