James Spader’s ‘The Blacklist’ Breaks Records with New Episode, What Happens to Mole? [SPOILERS]

NBC’s The Blacklist is going strong in 2014. The surprise hit of the season, starring James Spader, recently broke DVR records once again, with an impressive showing last week. Now the show returns tonight in a brand new episode. Will we find out what happens to the mole? Warning Spoilers Follow!

NBC’s The Blacklist has proven itself once again. The most recent episode of the dark horse drama has broken DVR playback records. The series beat the previous record held by…The Blacklist. Within three days, the show brought in 14.26 million viewers.

Can the show top their own record once again?

The official synopsis for tonight's new episode titled, “The Cyprus Agency,” reads:

“A series of baby abductions prompts the team to target an illegal adoption agency in a case that turns personal for Liz.”

The series has definitely earned his spot in NBC’s lineup for a second season:

NBC’s Chairman Rob Greenblatt released a statement about the renewal:

"The success of The Blacklist demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television, and I'm impressed on a daily basis by this creative team's imagination and the extent to which they will go to capture this grand vision on film.With gratitude to both our partners at Sony Pictures Television and our NBC development executives who took a great script and shepherded it into a great series, I hope that Red Reddington never runs out of names to bring down on his list!"

The Blacklist airs tonight on NBC at 10 p.m.

The show will run straight through February 7, when the Winter Olympics will take over. The Blacklist will once again return on February 24, to finish out the rest of the season. Check out the brand new episode to see what happens to the mole.
