‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ Gets Cyborg Deathlok, Stan Lee and ‘Thor’s’ Jaimie Alexander After Cancellation Rumors [SPOILERS]

Good news for fans of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, all three of them. The show is starting to branch out further into the Marvel universe. Not only will Mr. Marvel himself, Stan “The Man” Lee, wander onto the set for one of his trademark cameos, but Thor’s Jaimie Alexander, A.K.A. Sif, will guest star on the show. However, probably the biggest news is that the cyborg, Deathlok, will be joining the series. In fact, he has been there from the beginning. Could all the latest additions help save the troubled show from cancellation? Warning Major Spoilers Follow!

It is no secret that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a tad bit disappointing. However, now things are starting to pick up.

Despite its rocky start and slow pacing, things are finally falling into place. In has been revealed that Centipede-soldier-turned-S.H.I.E.L.D. amputee, Mike Peterson, will soon be turned into a Deathlok.

Deathloks are a series of cyborg zombie hybrids. Jeffrey Bell, producer of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., made the announcement via a press release:

"We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story. We're thrilled to have J August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favorite Marvel character on the show."

J. August Richards also spoke at the press release adding:

"If you would have asked when I was 9 years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a superhero and I'm so excited to be one now as an adult on TV! It's a dream come true."

During the coda for the last episode of S.H.I.E.L.D., we saw the beginning of Peterson’s transformation. The upgrade will be complete in the February 4 episode, ‘Tracks.’
