The Rockettes are ready to dazzle once again with a winter extravaganza.
As common as Santa Claus on Christmas, New Yorkers have come to expect one of Radio City Music Hall's biggest shows the Rockettes, with this year being no different. This time around however the glamour show has a little bit more added spice to it as the Rockettes will look celebrate 85 years of being in the big time. The Rockettes will open up its doors starting November 9 and will say goodbye until next year with their final show on December 30. As with tradition the precision dance company will have a glut of shows daily, after all they have been preforming five shows a day, seven days a week for 77 years so anytime in the holiday season is a good time to see the high heel rocking Rockettes.
The Rockettes will bring their signature high leg kicks to delight city crowds and as promised colorful lighting, costume and choreography will be on show in this a milestone moment for the company so there is bound to be something miraculous to satisfy appetites. Anyone returning to see the lovely Rockettes around this time will no doubt have the groups masterfully dance routine, "Parade of the Wooden Soldier," engraved in their mind. For newcomers this number will likely do the same and makes Radio City's Christmas Spectacular even more enthralling.
If you can't get enough of the long legged beauties I would not be worried, the Rockettes have come to be a staple at numerous events throughout the years. The dance troupe are a yearly feature at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and have been since 1957. The ladies also make a pit stop at NBC's magically tree lighting ceremony right around the corner at Rockefeller Center.
With 85 years of excellence the real centerpiece for the Rockettes is their customary Radio City winter special which looks to be a fabulous show in the making.
