The Metropolitan Opera plays for keeps.
Another fine New York medium for the finer arts the Metropolitan Opera will be cranking out tons of classic performances from the end of the year well into 2013. Inspired by the great culture surrounding its honored walls the Metropolitan gears up for a very fine close of the year. With Opera Company making it's the rounds the Lincoln Center in Manhattan the attraction allure is irresistible.
The Summer Festival was a feature at the Metropolitan from August 25 to September 3 and essentially got the wheels turning on classical proceedings. With acts like the Summer Festival and Le Cosairse-American Ballet Theatre which was on view from since early July. So what can attendees to the Lincoln Center look forward to?
The Met will over a gambit of acts from now to the climax of the year. Giacomo Puccini's Turandot comes to Lincoln in a matter of two days, September 26 the date. Looking through a longer lens viewers will learn to appreciate Carmen not only on September 28 but Georges Bizet greatest work will be on deck until March 1. The work of Verdi is also on show with Otello a frequent repeated in this bonanza on offer from the Met. Otello can be viewed from early as October 9 and comes to a close Ocotber 27 until the new year starts.
The Metropolitan is not just acts but various panels will be on view for the public. Enlighten discussion located in a city that world class acts tend to just stroll by and makes marks,so the Met has enlisted experts to make sense of it all. Critique will be a center piece for the panel and should not be missed. To sum up the end of year the Met is set to have this is the types of acts slated to come off the assembly line. The Tempest, The Barber of Seville, Les Troyens and Il Trovatore.
