American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to marriage, having made a vow to stay with someone as long as she lived (three different times) already. But that doesn't mean that she wants to get married to boyfriend of two years Casper Smart.
Pop star Jennifer Lopez recently sat down for an interview with In Touch to discuss her unusual family, made up of children, stepchildren, ex husbands, their partners and her new younger boyfriend.
Lopez even told the magazine, that even though she appreciates Casper’s help with her kids, she doesn’t consider him having any kind of parenting role at all. When asked if Casper really helps, she was quick to respond and qualify:
“Absolutely. I don’t like the words ‘father figure’, but he is really fantastic with the kids.”
Lopez doesn’t really think of Smart as a husband figure, she admitted to In Touch, when asked about the prospect of a wedding filled future:
“I don’t know! We’ll see. I believe in that institution. It’s difficult; I’ve had my challenges, but at the same time, I believe in love. I think that's the main thing.”
She told In Touch that it wasn’t so much important, who was there or for how long. She just needs someone to give her attention:
“I’m one of those people who does not like to be alone. I have no shame in saying that, at this point, I think I have to own who I am, you know?”
Wow...somehow that was sad and empowering all at the same time.
