With all the embarrassment and criticism Britney Spears has faced since starting her Las Vegas show Piece of Me several weeks ago, Britney Jean has drawn ire for everything from ticket price to dressing her boyfriend David Lucado in a dog collar and walking him on stage. Finally some good news comes her way. StubHub has announced that her new show is already the top Vegas earner of the year.
Britney Spears has been under constant pressure since she started her Vegas show.
While half of the world is waiting for a triumphant return, the other half is rooting for her to fail. It looks like the haters are just going to have to wait.
Ticket selling website StubHub has announced that Britney Spears show is already outselling all the competition. According to Buzz Feed, she is on track to have the most successful Vegas show ever:
“Britney: Piece Of Me, which began Dec. 27 at Planet Hollywood, has already outsold Las Vegas residencies by Celine Dion, Elton John, Shania Twain and Rod Stewart on StubHub’s 2013/2014 list. It is also the third highest-selling Las Vegas residency ever, behind only Celine Dion’s show which began in 2011 and Elton John’s, which began in 2009.”
Though it’s not really surprising, when you consider the dedication she demands from the rest of the crew. Her boyfriend is even willing to dress up like her lapdog if it sells tickets (via Star):
“What's a loyal dog...Britney called her boyfriend David Lucado, on the stage. She quickly put him in a collar and chains and walked him around like a very, very bad dog.”
Talk about man’s best friend.
