Following Tragic Death Crash Autopsy, Paul Walker Stars In 'Hours,' 'Fast & Furiuos 7'

Paul Walker gives a riveting performance in Hours, one of several projects to be released following his tragic death in an accidental car crash late last year. Universal is still tight lipped about who will be standing in for Walker for the final shots of Fast & Furious 7. The recent autopsy indicated that the star might have been conscious following the initial trauma of the impact.

Paul Walker's latest film Hours is an emotional drama about a father who struggles to keep his baby alive against harrowing odds.

But you shouldn’t expect the action of his Fast films. Though there are clashes with looters and other small plot devices, the film's real focus is on the characters.

The Washington Post described the film as a tense emotional thriller:

“Set in a New Orleans hospital, Hours is the story of Nolan Hayes (Walker) and his attempt to keep his newborn daughter alive after he is left alone to tend to her malfunctioning ventilator when the entire staff and all other patients are evacuated.”

There is still no official word as to how Universal plans to deal with the sudden departure of Walker, but they have promised that he will feature prominently in Fast 7 (via Entertainmentwise):

“Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers."
