Fan girls everywhere will likely be freaking out when they find out that the boy band The Wanted has broken up. The group is temporarily calling it quits. This news comes shortly after it was rumored that member Nathan Sykes and his girlfriend Ariana Grande have broken up.
It was recently announced that the boy band The Wanted will be taking some time apart after their upcoming tour. The boys are said to be working on personal projects together. A representative for the band recently broke the news in a press statement:
“The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future.They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”
It is not known just how long the split will last.
Rumor has it that Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande have broken up. However, conflicting reports suggest that the two are trying to patch things back up.
Sykes publicly dotted heavily on the starlet, telling MTV News about working with Grande:
"I didn't know how my voice would sound 'cause I didn't know what my capabilities [were], and it was kind of scary that I've had so much more control than I've ever had due to the team that I've worked with being so great. Honestly, I couldn't ask to work with a more talented vocalist than Ariana. I have so much respect for what she's just about to do, and I think it's a very exciting time for both me and Ariana for slightly different reasons. She's about to go on this quite amazing journey."
At the time it was reported that Grande was pushing for the band to break, but Sykes talked to Bliss about the issue:
"I am so focused on The Wanted right now. It's all about The Wanted. Always has been, always will be."
