After Prince Harry Engagement Rumors, Cressida Bonas Family Suicide, Stepfather Dead

After months of rumors that she is going to be engaged to Prince Harry, Cressida Bonas finds herself in mourning. The beauty's former stepfather, Christopher Shaw, was found dead, from what appears to be a suicide.

According to numerous media outlets, the onetime stepfather of Cressida Bonas tragically took his own life. Daily Mail described the sad situation to their readers, as they explained:

"Christopher Shaw, the one-time merchant banker, who wed Cressida's mother, Lady Mary Gaye Curzon, during the Nineties at a time when he was one of London's most lavish and generous party-throwers, is believed to have killed himself. Shaw, 76, was suffering from ill-health and was said by friends to have been plagued by money worries."

It's not all bad news for Cressida, however. Rumors continue to swirl that she will be getting engaged to a real life prince.

Gossip sites and tabloids worldwide are predicting that Prince Harry of Wales will ask for Cressida's hand in marriage this year.

While engagement talk surfaced over the fall, speculation of the couple tying-the-knot has only been mounting.

Over Christmas, their holiday was spent apart. But that doesn't mean that the lovebirds weren't thinking about each other, as one source told OK! Magazine:

"He was always leaving the room to answer a text from her and [the family] lost count of how many times he'd pop out and call her. He really missed Cressy more than he expected, and it made him even more confident that she's the one for him."

According to the gossip rag, he's not the only one who likes Cressida. The insider went on to claim that the Queen is quite fond of her as well:

"It's no secret the queen would dearly love to see her roguish grandson settle down, and she thinks Cressy is his ideal match. She likes that [Cressy] comes from a good family, plus she has a twinkle in her eye that reminds the queen of her sister, the late Princess Margaret."
