Tonight is a big night for the residents of Mystic Falls. The hit CW series The Vampire Diaries reaches its landmark 100th episode.
However, everyone might not make it out alive. Were looking at you Nina Dobrev. Don’t worry fans, Elena isn’t in any danger, but her doppelganger, Katherine, may be. At least that's how it seems according to TVD producer Caroline Dries, who recently told TV Line:
“Romantic make-out in the hospital bed. Maybe. The 100th episode is Katherine on her death bed. She doesn’t have a huge fanbase at the Salvatore house where she is, so Stefan is the person who’s there for her. But when you’re dying, romance isn’t exactly on the front burner.”
Meanwhile, Nina and Ian Somerhalder’s characters Damon and Elena will be dealing with their recent breakup in the new episode. However, the pair is reportedly secretly back together in real life.
An unnamed source recently told Celebrity Dirty Laundry about the couple’s secret plans:
"They’re both doing their best to keep it quiet. They’re not sure if they’re going to go back into full dating mode, especially since they’re still on good terms and don’t want to ruin their existing friendship."
