Carnegie Hall Calendar: Opens Up with Chicago Symphony

Carnegie Hall looks to open season with a flourish.

The Chicago Symphony breaks the two month hiatus of all things regal for Carnegie Hall when the famed New York venue opens back up its doors on October 3rd with what should be a stunning Gala. The ensemble is headed up by Riccardo Muti and will look to make light of the intricate piece "Carmina Burana."

Following the award winning prowess of the Chicago Symphony and it's impressive Director Muti is a glut of international talent. The likes of Korean Minsoo Sohn will look to delight Carnegie with delicate tones across his keys. Sohn, a player introduced to the piano at the tender age of three has been given rave reviews. His variation of some of Bach's work has led him to be called a visionary, "a man who brings life to music."

Lang Lang the almost unmistakable Chinese pianist now based in New York is all too familiar with the great halls of Carnegie as he too will be on showcased in October. Lang is one of the most filmed and celebrated pianist in the world, his quality hard to match. The likes of the Moscow Chamber Orchestra will add their own quality as well and the angelic strings of Young Eun Kim's cello, which will no doubt go down well with a savvy New York audience.

Not to be outdone by the International and regional contingent. New York's very own will be featuring heavy in the yellowing month's equation. The New Juilliard Ensemble will be on hand to cement their name in Carnegie Hall folklore.The name Juilliard speaks for itself and reputation will lead viewers clamoring to see what note evokes which emotion equally as cherished in the city is the Orchestra of St. Luke's. A few decades from its inception, the 18 to 21 strong ensembles oozes the type of talent and class that Carnegie crowds have come to expect over years.

Not only a haven for the seasoned, Carnegie is a platform to showcase fresh and budding talent while keeping the tab of quality still enacted. The Manhattan venue will be featuring acts from the Manhasset School of Music, the Herald Youth Orchestra will be given an opportunity to elate andthe famous structure will even slot in a classical recital from the AFAF students.

Carnegie a place of wonder and joy for classical enthusiast the world over could not have put a better foot forward in the onset of this season with October looking to be a pleasing for listening ears.
