Barclays Center welcomes Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli as first class act.
Newly minted Barclays Center is set to offer Brooklyn one of her first tastes of opera when Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli comes to town this coming winter. The now home of the newly re-branded Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The new complex looks to be on the ball with a performance from the Italian maestro.
Andrea Bocelli's recent compilation, "Concerto- One Night In Central Park," is fitting for his evening in the Big Apple but the fans could be treated to more than his latest work. Nominated for a Classic Brit Award for the aforementioned album, Bocelli can call on 20 years of work to dazzle the New York crowd. With 75 million album sales worldwide he can choose from any of his 22 albums to captivate the soul.
The now 54 year old Bocelli celebrated his birthday earlier this month in grand style with a serenade from no less than Franciscan monks. Fans will hope to expect the same kind of grandeur as he will look to have a superb outing at Barclays on December 5th. With acts like hip hop icon Jay-Z playing center stage in the arena, the bar is high but without a doubt the Italian's range, experience and powerful tones can easily sway the most ardent of ears. Bocelli's charisma and flair adds a wonderful bit of spice to the experience that is, Andrea Bocelli. Earmarked as a grand talent by the late great Luciano Pavaroti, Bocelli will be a feather in the cap of the newly established hierarchy of the Barclays Center making the likes of Russian businessman Mikhail Prokhorov elated.
Bocelli's visit to New York is just one many stops of he will make in America. The Tuscan is due stops at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.A two day act in Texas at the Toyota Center and American Airline Center respectively with Illinois and Florida also on popular tenor's list.
