Well, Madonna has done it again! The often controversial singer/actress has found a way to get herself back in the public eye. This time she didn’t have to commit blasphemy or make out with a teenage pop star to get people to start talking about her. Instead, this time around the aging diva called her son the N-Word and then issued a half-hearted apology. That is, of course, after she told the millions she offended to “Get off my d**k.”
Oh Madonna, you're so old, and yet you never seem to learn. The pop-icon recently caused quite the controversy when she posted a picture of her son Rocco Ritchie boxing on Instagram with captain:
"No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disni**a."
After the internet caught fire because of the comment, Madonna then took the picture off the site and reposted it with the much classier caption:
"Ok let me start this again. #get off my dick haters!"
After having to weather the crapstorm that followed pulling a Paula Deen, the singer then issued a half hearted apology via a press statement that read:
"I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur.. I am not a racist. There's no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention... It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it's a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me."
In somewhat related news, Madonna has yet to apologize for naming her son Rocco.
What do you think of Madonna’s comments? Do you think she should have apologized? Tell us what you think in the one place you can pretty much say whatever you want and not get in trouble...the comments section.
