American Horror Story: Coven is winding down. The second to last episode airs tonight on FX. In the all new episode, the test of the 7 Wonders is about to begin. The season of the witch is almost over. As American Horror Story: Coven is starting to wind down, clues for next year's theme are starting to pop up. Series creator Ryan Murphy offered up a few hints to next year's theme, when he spoke with Entertainment Weekly earlier in the year:
“It’s set in 1950. If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year. It’s a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we’ve done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I’m very excited!”
More clues will be hidden in the final two episodes. The American Horror Story clue hunt is becoming an annual tradition for fans of the anthology series.
Meanwhile, the plot of the current season is heating up. Tonight, the Coven kick off the test of the seven wonders to see who the next supreme may be.
The official synopsis for tonight's episode reads:
“Cordelia's latest vision puts the Coven's future in question. With the end of Fiona's reign approaching, the girls manifest powerful new gifts. Queenie's search for Marie Laveau leads her to Hell and back.”
