Disney diva Hilary Duff is divorcing three year hubby Mike Comrie and his $500 million family fortune. Rumor has it the reason the two are splitting is that, while Duff was busy making TV shows and recording new albums her retired professional hockey player husband sat at home and did nothing.
It is officially the beginning of the end for Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie, as the couple have officially announced that they are separating.
While the split seems amicable thus far, one wonders how long that can last with Duff’s friends spreading rumors that Mike was too lazy to keep his marriage together.
A supposed insider in the pair's relationship told Us Weekly that Duff was tired of Mike coasting through the relationship:
“She felt he didn’t put enough effort into their relationship...Recently he wasn't doing any of the thing they’d worked on...He never did anything.”
And what has Hilary been doing to make her feel so special?
Well, for one, the 26-year-old mom recently took time to record an episode of Real Girl’s Kitchen with her sister Haylie. She took to Twitter to make the announcement:
“So much fun filming with my seester @haylieduff @realgirlskitchen #malibuepisode #realgirlskitchen”
Duff has also been recording a brand new album in L.A. Duff told Dina Pugliese of Toronto’s Breakfast Television a little about the album she’s still working on (via Just Jared):
“I think by Spring I should have a single...The first six songs I’ve done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I’m getting into the moody. It’s important to have that fine balance and show all your sides. It’s got a bit of an indie, dance feel.”
You can’t argue with that. Mike...you need to take your a-- to work.
