Move over Family Guy, tonight Fox is airing a special presentation of The Following. The second season of the hit show, starring Kevin Bacon, will be reduced tonight for a special premiere before moving to its regular date and time.

Don’t worry Following Fans, you didn’t sleep past Monday, the show is just being shown on a special night before moving to its normal schedule next week. The hit Fox series kicks off its second season tonight with a special premiere and the night isn’t the only thing that has changed.
Following creator Kevin Williamson recently held a teleconference with reporters, where he spoke about the show’s new tone:
“The entire show has reset, but it’s also pushed forward a year. I think the biggest difference is it’s not such an FBI chase, in the sense that Ryan Hardy’s not a consultant smack in the center of an FBI task force. This story is told from a different starting place. It’s a little bit more of a character thriller and a relationship thriller.”
However, the different show will still have the same familiar faces, albeit bearded.
James Purefoy recently spoke with TODAY about coming back from the dead:
“It would obviously be a very short TV series if I wasn’t (back). That’s the trouble. You want it to almost feel like he’s going to get caught, or he’s going to die, or something is going to happen. But the viewers like that he gets away.”
Check out the Season 2 premiere of The Following tonight at 9 on Fox, before it moves to its Monday night timeslot on January 27.
